Your birthday, your wedding, a (company) anniversary or Christmas are coming up and you aren’t sure what to wish for? You are in the fortunate situation that you don’t need anything at all and would rather do something nice for others?
In this case, “donations instead of presents” could be a logical and sustainable alternative for you – and you would also be doing a good deed. Start your own donation campaign for the Sternenbrücke children’s hospital and ask family, friends, business partners or colleagues for a donation instead of presents. With your help, we can be a “second home” for families with incurably ill children.
What options are there?
For a special occasion, you would rather not receive presents but instead request donations for Sternenbrücke?
Possibilities for social involvement:
1. You collect donations on site, for example at a party or event
You might want to already make it clear in your invitation that you would like to have donations instead of presents. Your guests can then make a direct donation at your party or event.
We are happy to provide you with free information materials, like flyers or posters, for your party. Alternatively, we could lend you one of our collection jars or, if available, one of our house collection boxes to use for collecting your monetary gifts. After you return these, we will send you a thank you letter and a donation receipt for the total amount.
Your guests would like to receive a donation receipt of their own? If you pass on the monetary gifts you receive to Sternenbrücke and your guests would like to receive a donation receipt, we just need a list of these persons, including their name, address and the corresponding individual amounts. A donation receipt for the total amount for you is then no longer possible.
2. Your guests transfer their donations themselves using a bank transfer form or online
In order to be able to attribute the individual donations directly to your occasion, it is a good idea to enter a specific keyword in the “reason for payment” field. We would be happy to agree on this with you. Share this keyword – together with our banking details – with your guests, for example directly in the invitation, in your Christmas cards or on your website.
Your guests then simply include this keyword as a reference for us with their online donation or transfer to our donations account. This makes it possible for us to inform you afterward about the total amount of the donations that have been received in connection with your keyword.
The donation receipts will be sent directly to the donors if we have their address.
Instead of giving gifts, for instance on Christmas, you would rather make a donation yourself?
We are happy to provide you with, for example, our logo, an insert for your Christmas cards or an informative text about the work of Sternenbrücke.
We will gladly issue a donation receipt for your transferred donation.
