The majority of our sick young guests at the Sternenbrücke children's hospice have severely reduced mobility. Because they spend most of the day in a wheelchair or in bed, they experience severe pressure pain that further reduces their mobility. The warm environment of our Therapy Bath (35°C room temperature and 33°C water temperature) combined with the buoyancy of the water provides soothing pain relief. It also gives the parents the opportunity to spend time with their children, be close to them and to relax themselves. Massage jets at the side of the pool can help relief backache, which parents who spend a lot of time lifting and caring for their child often get.
