During the final stage of the terminally ill young person the time they can spend at the Sternenbrücke children's hospice is unlimited. Our on-call service and the nurses specially trained and qualified in palliative care and our home care nurse deal with every situation with great empathy.
The affected families can be admitted to the Sternenbrücke children's hospice at any time, at short notice and without unnecessary bureaucracy. We always keep a room free on the first floor for the parents, from which they can access the room of their child on the ground floor so that they can be especially close by the side of the child during this difficult time.
There is close interaction between the nurses, doctors, the hospice management and the grief counsellors, sometimes hourly, which ensures that the sick children, adolescents and young adults receive the necessary pain therapy and their families are given care and support.
