The Sternenbrücke children’s hospice academy offers a comprehensive further training programme for experienced paediatricians, healthcare and (paediatric) nurses and psychosocial professionals, and some of its further training courses are specifically aimed at educators, teachers and nursery school teachers. The training of children’s hospice volunteers, cooperation with nursing schools, and seminars for affected parents and relatives are also part of the academy’s work.
The academy also strives to provide the affected families with information about the latest findings on the best possible care and support. Furthermore, the various further training courses facilitate communication between everyone involved and promote mutual understanding in the different areas This allows us to improve the care of young terminally ill people and their families.
