The full-time staff at the Sternenbrücke are currently being supported by some 80 volunteers, who help us in all areas except nursing. The volunteers' areas of responsibilities range from assisting the nurses and educators and housekeeping all the way to administrative tasks and help at the information stands. Volunteers have to be in good health, be able to spend at least half a day per week (especially also on public holidays, on weekends and during the school holidays) at the Sternenbrücke and speak German. What's more, anyone interested in becoming a volunteer should not have lost someone close to them within the past five years.
