Our therapy pool is open again!
Following severe water damage in 2023, our therapy pool had to be completely closed and extensively renovated. This period was particularly difficult for many of our guests, as the therapy pool is a place of freedom, pain relief and closeness for them.
Now, after an intensive renovation phase, it has finally been able to reopen thanks to the support of many people.
A place of warmth in new splendor
With its loving, child-friendly design, particularly accessible and sustainable facilities, and two additional adjoining rooms for private moments – with a lift bath and floor-level shower – the therapy bath is now even better suited to the special needs of our guests. State-of-the-art technology such as individually adjustable massage jets, themed lighting and video displays, music control, automated doors and energy-efficient measures create a versatile, therapeutically valuable environment.

In the video, Peer Gent demonstrates how versatile the new equipment is and why this room is so important to many families.
Where relief and closeness become possible
The therapy pool has been an integral part of Sternenbrücke since 2004. For many of our guests who have severe mobility restrictions, the warm water provides relief, pain relief and new possibilities for movement, supported by therapeutic treatments. For their families, it is a place where they can hold their children in their arms without great effort – and experience precious moments together that are often not possible in everyday life.
The families have been looking forward to the reopening with great excitement – and now the time has finally come: the therapy pool is open for use again!
Thank you for your support
‘Every donation has helped to bring this special place back to life and thus to give hope, closeness and moments of joy. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all our supporters – also on behalf of our young and older guests,’ emphasises Peer Gent, member of the management team at the Sternenbrücke children's and youth hospice.
