Organisation & Structure

The Sternenbrücke children's hospice is run by a dedicated team of full-time and volunteer staff. Clear structures and close cooperation between the foundation and the support association ensure that we can provide families with the best possible support and secure our work in the long term.

Our house

Since 2003, Sternenbrücke has been a place of comfort and security for children and young people with life-shortening illnesses, and since 2010 also for young adults up to the age of 27. Together with their families, they find time here to take a breather, recharge their batteries and be there for each other – on a journey that often lasts many years.

Our history

Find out how it all began: For over 20 years, Sternenbrücke has been a place of hope and solidarity – a temporary home for families going through difficult times.

The Foundation

The Sternenbrücke Children's Hospice Foundation has been supporting the work of our hospice since 2001. Your donations and endowments directly ensure that affected families receive support – sustainably and effectively.

About the Foundation

The idea and desire to establish a children's hospice for northern Germany became reality with the approval of the Sternenbrücke Children's Hospice Foundation on 7 September 2001.
