When a child suffers from a life-shortening illness, all family members face special challenges—and each need their own unique forms of support. In this issue, we take a look at a new offering: the first weekend for fathers, a moving weekend full of honest conversations among fathers, which took place in the spring.
Many of them carry a heavy, invisible burden every day: they are expected to perform at work and are urgently needed at home at the same time. This conflict often leads to feelings of guilt and the pressure to always be strong.
Our fathers' weekend gave them a space without expectations – for self-reflection, open exchange, and the liberating feeling of being understood. Here, the men were able to talk about their deepest fears and discover new ways of self-care.
We also share news about our new construction project, because the planned house on the neighboring property finally has a name!
