Dealing with grief is not just about talking; the grieving process must be approached practically - it was this realisation that gave the impetus for setting up the Stone Workshop. Once a week, the families work together with a stone sculptor. They say that it enriches their lives greatly to be able to create something lasting for themselves or for their sick child, something that comes from their heart and that is made with their own hands, both during the often many years of sickness and during the final stage of life. Slowly and carefully, ideas for the “final stone” on the path of life are developed, namely the gravestone.
