
Quality assurance at Sternenbrücke
QuinK
At the Sternenbrücke children's hospice, we have launched a sustainable quality assurance process based on the “Quality index for children’s and youth hospice work” (Qualitätsindex für Kinder- und Jugendhospizarbeit, QuinK for short). This framework helps us regularly reflect on our work and enhance our services.
What is QuinK?
QuinK is a tool for reflection and evaluation. Using several components – including a comprehensive questionnaire – it provides the basis for an in-depth assessment of our services. Together with our employees and the families we support, we examine our work so we can continuously improve it and tailor it as closely as possible to the needs of our guests.
Developing a mission statement
A core aspect of this process is exploring our values and attitudes. As a result, we have also begun developing a mission statement for Sternenbrücke. In an intensive workshop, we defined 12 values that reflect our principles, our approach, and our goals in caring for and supporting families.
Looking ahead
Neither QuinK nor the development of our mission statement is a finished process. But we are proud to have already taken these important steps toward continuously improving our work – so that we can offer families at Sternenbrücke the best possible support.
